Sleepy King bunny D.I.Y

What You Need
Fringed wool scarf, 20 inches (50.8 cm) or longer
Heavy weight fusible interfacing, same dimensions as scarf
Felt scraps for the face and ears
2 plastic safety eyes, 12 mm
Embroidery floss for the nose and mouth
1 small bag of polyfill stuffing
Basic Sewing Kit (page 14)
Finished Size
12 inches tall x 5 inches wide at the base (30.5 x 12.7 cm)
Seam Allowance
1⁄4 inch (6 mm) unless otherwise noted

What You Do
1
Enlarge the templates and cut them out.
2
Decide which side of the scarf will be the right side, and fuse
the fusible interfacing to the wrong side, following the manufacturer’s
instructions.
3
Fold the fabric in half, right sides together. Place the body pattern
on a side with interfacing fused to it and trace around the pattern.
Cut through both fabric layers to create two body pieces.
Trace and cut two ears and one face from the felt.
4
With all of the pieces right side up, pin the face and ears to one
of the body pieces. To achieve the slightly off-center look, allow
the right edge of the face piece to overlap the right edge of the
body (it will later be enclosed in the seam allowance). Topstitch
all three felt pieces to the body, stitching as close as you can to
the edges.
Tail Spin
7
With right sides facing, pin the two body
pieces together. Stitch around the edges of the
body, leaving an opening 3 inches (7.6 cm)
wide at the bottom. Trim or clip the curved
seam allowance (page 24).
8
Turn the body right side out through the opening
and stuff it with polyfill. Use a point turner
to push into the ears and shape the seams. If
adding a tail (see box), hand sew it in place
with floss before sewing the opening closed.

Big bunnies and Free shipping!

I made two new bunnies yesterday. They are 18 inches tall! 6 inches bigger than the original size bunnies. I need to take some pictures of someone holding them because you really can't tell in the pictures but they are so big and cuddly! I really love the way they turned out. I made them with vintage sheets. They are eco-friendly and adorable. I think they would be perfect in a large Easter basket filled with all kinds of delicious chocolates and jelly beans.

I am having a free domestic shipping sale in the shop. Enter the code: SHIP4FREE at checkout.

Spring Fever at Sleepy King

New items are popping up in the shop daily. I am really into the bright colors lately! I think its because I'm a little tired of the gloomy weather.. yearning for the spring. Its just around the corner.

Ps. Can you tell that the baby in the photo is a boy?! Didn't think so, pretty tricky huh!?
